My most used heroes for the first three games:
Tahlkora (SoR monk with Aegis)
Master of Whispers (I don't like the way Olias looks, he's a backup curse necro)
Zhed Shadowhoof (The quintessential nuker)
My most used heroes for Eye of the North:
Dunkoro (LoD monk. Compliments Mhenlo well, Tahlkora's SoR isn't as useful in my experiences with EoN.)
Acolyte Sousuke (Replaced with the MM to provide faster nukes)
Zhed Shadowhoof (Once again, my main nuker)
Honorable Mentions:
Though I've always thought Olias had the worst hero look out of everyone, he was instrumental in helping me defeat the Ruins of Morah mission, where quick hexes helped to devastate Varesh. He has not been used in many other missions.
Acolyte Jin helped me not only beat the Gate of Pain with her excellent usage of interrupt skills, but also got me masters. I have used her very rarely, but more so than Olias.
Koss is my warrior of choice when I'm using a non-melee character.
That's that.
Heroes I will never use:
Vekk. I just don't like the Asura.

I like to use:
Tahlkora
Vekk
Acolyte Sousuke.
Vekk and Acolyte make great SF Nukers. zhed is just stupid imo.
Tahlkora > dunkoro and ogden.
plus i've got a great Holy Haste LoD build on her that pwns the life out of everything.

I haven't grown too attached to any GW:EN hero's just yet.
With my Ele, my favorite set is Olias & Master of Whispers as MM's- along with Tahlkora or Dunkoro.
With my Dervish, my favorite set of hero's are Melonni, General Morgahn & Dunkoro/Tahlkora.
I'm starting to take a liking to Vekk though.

Unless things really hate physical damage dealers, then Acolyte Sousuke, Zhed and Olias.

Zhed and Acolyte Sousuke:SF+SH ftw

The team I use the most:
#1. Olias (Minion Master)
#2. Acolyte Sousuke (Greater Conflagration / Mark of Rodgort)
#3. Zhed Shadowhoof or Vekk (Searing Flames / Mark of Rodgort)
The characters I actually like the most:
#1. Jora <3 (Not sure what weapon set-up I'll give her, but I will use her eventually. She is too hawt not to use. Pity I don't have much use for Warriors.)
#2. Livia <3 (She'll be taking the SS or GB job as soon as I unlock her [doing her quests now], Master of Whispers the SV job and Olias stays MM. Once again... Livia is too hawt not to use.)
#3. Acolyte Sousuke (I just call him Souskie most of the time. My first elementalist hero and likely to be my last. Was my favourite until EotN.)

Gwen and Tahlkora never leave my team
The third spot is usually open, I quite like Pyre, Jora, Koss, Vekk and Jin

As much as I hate to admit it, I do actualy use Gwen quite a bit, though it took me a little while to think up a reasonable build that I liked to blow stuff up as I went through the game (mesmers = suck)

My A Team for Nightfall:
Dunkoro (as Prot)
Olias - Godly reflexes as a MM. He can raise a fleshie before the previous one's even hit the flooor
Zhed, Jin or Koss depending on the area. Zhed dies too much and Koss never does what he's told.
For GW:EN
Above ground:
Vekk
Sousuke
Livia - Running MM or SS. I stripped Olias of his runes and gave them to Livia. If I have to stare at someone with a leather fixation arching their back every two minutes I'd rather look at Livia.
Undeground:
Vekk
Jin
Livia -SS
Since getting GW:EN I ditched ol' Dunky, as Mhenlo and Lina seem to function a lot better in this.
I have favourite hench as well.. call me nostalgic, but Devona always comes (charge useful when mapping, KDs from the hammer always a plus) and either Aiden or Cynn. Having three Sf eles and Cynn using Meteor Shower is always good for a larf.

Olias, Dunkoro and Tahlkora all the way! MM, Healer and Protector to my own build can't be a bad start to any team, it works nicely for most stuff

Tahlkora
Dunkoro is annoying, Ogden looks wierd. I want him to be bashing people in the head with a hammer.
Gwen
It's Gwen.
Olias
Never leave town without him. Well, I do sometimes.
Jora
DEATH BY SNOO SNOO!
Pyre gets special mention for being nearly as cool as HK-47. Congrats Arenanet, you managed it.

Livia, Xandra, and Hayda are my favourite heroes but I'm almost always using Livia, Master of Whispers, and Olias.
